Riders can interact with Paddington by moving their heads |
|
Europa-Park has partnered with MackMedia to create a brand new virtual reality ride, featuring beloved children’s character, Paddington Bear.
The ride takes place on the park’s existing Aldenexpress Coastiality ride, expanding the ride’s VR offering, and takes visitors on an interactive adventure with Paddington himself.
Wearing Samsung Gear VR glasses riders race through London on a double decker bus, scoring points as they go, as Paddington Bear runs to catch up. The ride features interactive elements that allow guests to interact with Paddington using head movements.
MackMedia worked closely with Gameloft to develop the animation, which is an extension of the company’s Paddington Run game.
The ride forms part of a major licensing deal between Europa-Park and The Copyrights Group, which will also see Paddington become a central character in the park’s English themed area, where he will make his home in front of The Globe Theatre. A Paddington themed shop will also be included in the area.
In addition Paddington will also become the star of his very own ice show. Opening on 24 March 2018 the 30-minute interactive show takes place in Europa-Park’s Greek themed area and will bring the Paddington stories to life.

Small Footprint, Big Significance: Studio City Water Park |
|
Long known for its fancy casinos, Macau realized within the past decade that it must
diversify its tourism scene to attract new crowds. With the ambition of becoming the
leisure hub of China’s 72-million strong Greater Bay Area, the city began adding shows,
attractions, and family-friendly hotels. But the offering that truly stands out with fun
for everyone is Studio City Water Park – Macau’s first stand-alone water park, with all
the water slides and aquatic play structures supplied by WhiteWater. |

How surf simulators are transforming the experience economy |
|
The experience economy, driven by evolving consumer trends, is poised for continued growth
in the coming years. Millennials have been at the forefront of this shift, favouring
memorable experiences over material possessions. This preference has extended to other
generations as well, indicating a broader adoption of experience-focused spending habits
in the attractions sector. |
